Castor Oil packs,
It has been shown that Castor oil on the surface of the body does enhance immune function,
and help detoxification, even in healthy people. Since Castor oil is so important, here are the
instructions.
Materials Needed:
flannel cloth
plastic sheet-medium thickness
bath towel
two safety pins
Instructions for Use:
Prepare a soft flannel cloth (preferably wool flannel, but cotton flannel is all right if wool is
unavailable). The cloth should be two to four thicknesses and measure about 10 inches in
width and 12 to 14 inches in length after it is folded. This is the size needed for abdominal
application. Other areas may need a different size pack. Pour some Castor oil onto each
cloth. This can be done without soiling the bed if a plastic sheet is underneath the cloth.
Make sure the cloth is wet but not drippy with the Castor oil. Then apply the cloth to the area
that needs treatment.
Next, apply a plastic covering over the soaked flannel cloth. (saran wrap is excellent). On top
of that, place a heating pad, or hot water bottle, set at medium to begin with, then turned up
to high if your body tolerates it. It may help if you wrap a towel, folded lengthwise, around the
entire area, and fasten it with safety pins. The pack should remain in place for 10 to 60
minutes as tolerated.
The skin should be cleansed afterward by using water prepared as follows:
To a quart of water, add two tablespoons of baking soda. Use this to cleanse the abdomen.
Keep the flannel pack in a plastic container for future use; it need not be discarded after one
application.
Frequency:
You may use a castor oil pack 1-4 times a day and you may even sleep with it
Deep breathing walking,
Hiking, swimming, bending, twisting all help lungs to breathe. Quick inhalation, slow
exhalation helps the lung structure.
The following DEEP BREATHING EXERCISES should be practiced faithfully each day before
an open window. Breathe in through the nose, exhale through the mouth (in a blowing effect).
Early morning is the best time, before traffic puts poisons in the air or late at night if one gets
up during the night for some reason. Remember to breathe deeply, and exhale ALL THE
WAY, forcing old stale air out.
1.
Exhale as drawing arms down across and over the chest. Force ALL the old air out.
2.
Inhale fresh air through the nose, swing arms outward and upward, stretching chest
cavity, fill lungs to fullest.
(CAUTION: Fresh air can make one light-headed or faint – go easy at first.)
Repeat until comfortable. Practice good posture also throughout the day, whether sitting or
standing. Walk briskly each day, walking two miles minimum, as you are able, breathing
deeply while walking.
Lymph fluid can be moved to carry out waste only in this way (except by massage, which is
more expensive; all you spend on the above exercises is time).
An excellent exercise is “bouncing” on the trampoline. It is good for everyone, but almost
essential for those suffering from severe heart stress, cancer or other severely enervating
afflictions.
Everyone should sing loudly (if not well) daily. Playing a harmonica is an excellent deep
breathing exercise.
Diarrhea, vomiting, loose stools.
G-I upset of long or short duration.
1 tablespoon of tomato juice
1 tablespoon of sauerkraut juice (buy kraut in a glass jar & just spoon off the juice)
Take every 20 minutes for 2 hours (6-8 doses)
For the next day have a VERY plain, bland diet.
You may repeat this again as often or as frequently as needed.
Epsom Salt Bath.
The skin forms a self-replacing (2-3 weeks), multi-functional, resilient covering for the body
that adjusts easily to a remarkable variation in environment, as well as adapting to the needs
of the underlying structures that it shelters. Similar to some other organs, it performs the
specialized functions involved in perception of sensation, repair of wounds, immunological
defense, cholesterol synthesis, steroid hormone synthesis, carbohydrate, fat and protein
metabolism.
Your skin is your largest eliminative organ. Hundreds of thousands of tiny sweat glands act
not only as the regulators of body temperature, but also as small kidneys, the detoxifying
organs which are ready to cleanse the blood and free the system from health-threatening
poisons.
The following recommendations are not for the individual who may or does have serious
health problems: It is strongly suggested you consult your physician before attempting this
therapy, for a check of blood pressure and your other vital signs.
Directions:
Briskly stir 1 to 1 ½ cups of Epsom salts and ½ cup Baking Soda into a tub of water as hot as
you can stand. Keep a damp cloth close at hand to mop your face. This helps control your
temperature. Drink two (8oz.) glasses of water before, during, and after the bath. Length of
the bath should be no longer than 20 minutes. After the bath have someone help you from
the tub and rest for at least two hours in bed.
Should you experience dizziness, nausea, or heart palpitations, discontinue the bath
immediately and lay down.
Face dip for Allergies and Sinus Health.
This is a very good way to clear your sinuses and reduce puffiness and swelling around your
eyes and to help alleviate some allergy symptoms.
Fill a large bowl with 5 to 8 quarts of very warm water, 100° to 105°. Mix 2 Tablespoons of
hydrogen peroxide and 2 Tablespoons of salt). Do not stir this with your hand – use a clean
spoon. Every 4 to 6 treatments, you should substitute 20 drops of iodine ( place-way), and 2
Tablespoons of salt.
After it is completely dissolved, immerse your entire face in the water, up to the hairline, and
hold it until you need to breathe—10 to 20 seconds. Lift face out of the water, take a breath,
blow your nose. Dip your face in the water again. Do this 3 or 4 times. Open your eyes while
you have your face in the water (it will not burn your eyes—if it does, you need more salt in
the water).
After each immersion, blow your nose. You may do this entire procedure two or three times a
day while your allergies are bothering you, or on a regular basis.
Hot & Cold compresses.
for the Reduction of Swelling and/or Inflammation
Take a washcloth or hand towel and soak it in water that is as hot as you can handle.
Place the towel on the affected part of the body. Cover the towel with a woolen article of
clothing (i.e. scarf) and stay like this for 5 minutes.
Now, take the towel and soak it in very cold water. Place the cold towel on the affected area.
Cover with wool and leave for 10 minutes. Repeat 3 times a day for 3 days.
It’s nice to have a friend help you, so that you can relax during the procedure.
Natural Otitis Media Treatment for children.
Otitis Media is also termed glue ear because the fluid of the middle ear increases in viscosity
becoming glue like. This results in a diminished hearing ability through the ear with no loss of
bone conduction hearing. If there is less bone conduction, the patient may have auditory
nerve involvement.
The patients in this study were of ages 2- 18 presenting earaches, ear itching, or diminished
hearing. These patients were screened with a simple audiometer for external hearing loss
and with a tuning fork for bone conduction. Sixty-five patients were reported in this study,
thirty-five which had the typanogram test both pre and post. All patients had Otitis Media
symptoms.
The treatment for all patients was a mucous-dissolving herbal formula of low potency nettles
(nature’s mucous dissolver) and horsetail grass silica (nature’s lancet) with iodine and alfalfa
in the remedy for anti-histamine effects. Each parent of these children was taught to
massage the ear for Eustachian tube drainage. The Eustachian tube angle of drainage
increases with age, increasing the risk of Otitis in children. The simple technique of ear
massage was performed twice daily during the one month of the study.
Other causes of Otitis Media include the ear’s susceptibility to toxins in an ever-toxic world,
poor pancreas enzyme production making the lymph more viscous, allergy reactions,
infective cases, or stress involvement. Since this was a professional practice not a classic
study, patients were treated for whatever else presented in the etiology survey.
Limitations in the audiometer and subjective analysis of ear pain made quantified results
difficult. Since it is the purpose of this pilot study to provoke deeper inquiry, we simply used
an Otitis positive or negative diagnosis. In every single case, Otitis improved dramatically
within 1 month of treatment. Fifteen of the cases were scheduled for surgery, and in every
case surgery was aborted because of symptom improvement.
Further analysis with better-trained practitioners and more precise equipment for media vs.
internal diagnosis is needed. We cannot determine the precise most valued intervention
among those modalities used in this study, i.e. clinical therapy; use of Mucous Dissolver
(T17); ear massage; increased parental involvement; stress reduction, or others.
Ear Massage Technique:
This massage technique is to aid the inner ear and to help clear the Eustachian tubes. The
massage process should be done gently and firmly – not to the point of pain. If the child
shows signs of pain, reduce pressure. The following three steps should be done twice daily
on both ears:
Using gentle finger pressure, draw a line from the back of the ear near the mastoid bone
down the back of the jawbone through the saliva gland just at the rear of the jawbone. Do
this 40 times on both sides.
Gently push the flap of skin in front of the ear (tragus) back over the ear canal until it
blocks. Release and repeat in a pumping action; this creates a suction in the ear. Pump 40
times.
Place the fleshy part of the palm (just below the thumb) over the ear and rotate the ear in
all directions, gently working the cartilage all around. Use a pumping action to work the air
out of the ear. Pump 30 to 40 times. For best results, use the Mucous Dissolver formula with
this technique twice daily.
A Simple Thyroid Test.
Prevent Fatigue
Balance Hormones
Lower Cancer Risk
Help Love Life
Raise Metabolism
Tolerate Stress Better
This is a very simple test to determine if you need thyroid hormone support. One way to do
an evaluation of your thyroid status: go to the drug store and buy a bottle of ordinary liquid
Iodine 2% (just like you’d put on a cut). Take a cotton swab or applicator and apply a patch of
iodine to your skin; an area about as big as a silver dollar, on the abdomen, leg, or anywhere
on the body.
Watch this area for the next 24 hours. If the brown iodine area is absorbed into your skin and
disappears before 24 hours have passed, it is very likely you are thyroid deficient. (No matter
what your tests indicate.) If the iodine is still able to be seen 24 hours later, you have
reasonably normal thyroid utilization.
The treatment is the same as the test. If you absorbed the iodine before 24 hours passed,
continue to re-apply the iodine in the same way (onto a different area of the skin) each day
until the iodine does take 24 hours to disappear. You should notice a clear improvement in
energy and mental clarity
